The Buna Bridge is an Ottoman work built in the years 1499-1500.
The Buna Bridge together with the Bahçallek Bridge have been the land connections of the city of Shkodra with other parts of Albania. The socio-economic developments of the Nënshkodra and Ulcinj plains, from antiquity to the present day, cannot be taken in isolation from the role played by the river Buna. Archaeological data show that the agricultural life in this area has a continuity of over 4,700 years, an activity that coincides with that of other advanced peoples of the European Mediterranean.
From Lake of Shkodra, where Buna begins, to its estuary to the sea (Buna is one of the rare rivers of the Adriatic with its natural delta), consists of three alluvial islands: Ada, Franz Joseph Island and Rennes Island, created in the years l882-l952.
In the water regime of the river Buna, there are also some lagoons, such as that of Viluni, Murtepiza, Shas Lake, Damni Swamp, etc.
There are also some cult objects to be mentioned, such as: Churches of St. Kolli, St. George, St. Baft, Holy Friday, Shirq Churchetc.
