Velipoja is located at the southeast part of the city of Shkodra, with an area of about 72.4 km2<\/sup><\/strong>. <\/span>To the northwest it is bordered by the river Buna<\/strong>.<\/span>

Favorable geographical position where the sea and the river, lagoon and nature reserve, fertile fields, swamps and forests, hills and mountains intersect give this area a development opportunity for maritime, river and mountain tourism, fishing and hunting, cultural development various agricultural and livestock.<\/span>
We mention here the beach with a length of 14 km, width about 300 m. <\/span>Velipoja beach<\/strong> is one of the most famous in Albania for its beauty, crystal clear water, wide sand belt, healing properties, as well as local hospitality.<\/span>

You can develop various activities on the beach of Velipoja such as: Sailing<\/strong>, Kitesurfing<\/strong>, Stand-up paddling yoga<\/strong>, Beach Volley<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

The ideal place for fishing enthusiasts, who will have the opportunity to spend a wonderful time showing off their fishing skills. In the fantastic sea of Velipoja you can fish different types of fish and develop your passions.<\/span>

In this area you can also visit the Velipoja Wetland<\/strong> which is located at the estuary of the river Buna which includes 4 shallow swamps and the marsh of Domja; Viluni Lagoon; Velipoja Reserve which lies in the delta of the river Buna, about 8 km away from Velipoja, where you can observe migratory birds, enjoy nature walks, bike rides, picnic etc.<\/span>

With a green and relaxing space, it offers a direct contact with nature. Under the shade of tall trees and surrounded by a variety of vegetation you will have the opportunity to observe nature and its beauty.<\/span>

- Franz Joseph Island<\/strong> is a fascinating tourist attraction located at the mouth of the Buna River.<\/span>
The island is low ground covered with a sandy coast and dominated by 75-year-old trees<\/strong>.<\/span>
The name was given to the island by Austrian cartographers in 1870 in honor of Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria-Hungary.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
